Dear friends and neighbors,

Welcome to the full service "WEST" side of Literati Café, affectionately (and formerly) known as Literati2. There are two sides to every story and Literati Café is proof of that. The original café literaticafe.com was opened in September 2000 on the eastern side of the corner where we use the counter self/service style.

In the Spring of 2005, we opened Literati2, a full service restaurant on the western side of the corner. Both places emphasize farm fresh, organic foods and we also sell specially blended Organic Literati Coffee and Teas. We were touted for our attention to fine foods and farm fresh faire. That remains a priority even today after we've remodeled.

In January 2009, we remodeled Literati2 to make it a more casual restaurant. We stayed in the same space but left the white tablecloths behind, opened up the windows, renewed and Frenched up our patio, repainted inside and out, expanded our little European Bar (We serve fabulous wine, beer and signature cocktails) and opened up our kitchen. We also listened to our customers who love the daily breakfasts we have been cooking up on the original (EAST) self serve side so we now offer full service breakfast (WEST) seven days a week beginning at 8am.

So at the corner of Bundy and Wilshire there are two kinds of restaurants with two separate kitchens all under the name of Literati Café. We didn't want to disturb the Wah of the original café, and Literati Café West (formerly Literati2) is still much of the same great food, beautiful patio, and hip ambience. Our aim is to be a great neighborhood place that takes care of everyone. Come see which story you enjoy the best or, if you're like most of our patrons, you may just want to visit both sides of the corner often.

We hope to see you there soon!

Literati 2 was named one of the Top 10 New Places in Los Angeles Magazine and "America's best farm-to-table restaurants" in the October 2007 issue of Gourmet Magazine .
